Before I start with the photos this scooter has been mine for about 2 years and over that time I have attended quite a few rallies. Normally the scoot has me and Barbara on board last year we went down to wales twice (only a 400 mile round trip each time) as well as a good few others over the 2 years.
The scoot has a P2 lump and a PX Disc front end in case anyone is wondering.
Firstly the scooter as was

Then a few snaps as its taken apart

Next its off to the man with the Vespa jig (John McLauglin) just to check for straightness, and it was found to be just a little out so that was done first.

This bit of work reveals a nasty split in the floor which had be covered up with filler before it was painted ah well at least it needs some welding done now(as if I needed something else to spend my wages on this month )

Now off to the blasters to reveal what other nasty little surprises lurk under an ok paint job

A few more holes have appeared from under the paint again full of bodge, also the panels are not quite as straight as I thought they were never mind off to be welded filled painted and anything else that needs to be done.
Thanks to Paul from Eyecandy who took a few of the following photos as it was painted

Thats all for the main prep now on to the final stages

Now for the real painting to begin

All that left to do is put the old girl back together

And finally the almost finished article only a few minor bits left, sorry but the photos do not do Pauls paintwork justice because of the effects used and the amount of paint etc it just wont photograph as well as I would like

The End.......?
